Avast antivirus program review
Looking for a new antivirus software that works well, doesn't take up a lot of computer space, and is easy to use? Well look no further than the Avast Antivirus Software.
When looking for free antivirus program most people have already heard of programs such as AVG or Avira. While both of those programs work just fine, this one, Avast, tops them all. Plus, AVG is moving away from the "free" version anyways so if you have AVG you might want to upgrade to a different software.
To begin, the Avast antivirus software works perfectly. By doing some research you can see that mostly everyone who has downloaded it, including myself, have not gotten any sort of viruses on their computers. Whether they've been using it for 2 years or 2 weeks, people have not had many problems with this program and that's why it is so well liked.
Also, the software is very easy to access. Once you download it from their website, for FREE, all you have to do is do a quick 1-2 minute installation and you're all set. Once it is installed you can open it up and the first thing that you will probably notice is the size of it. As you will see, it is not very big. In fact, it is very small. The layout of it looks sort of like a music player so it's pretty easy to use and because of its size, it's not that noticeable on your screen.
Using this program is also very user friendly and quick to learn. When you first open it up a screen will pop up giving you instructions on how to use the actual program. On the actual software there is only 6 different icons that you will need to use. On the left side there is a virus "chest" that shows all of the infected files and folders that the virus scanner found. It also has a icon to change how specific you want the scanner to scan and also an update icon so you can quickly update your software. On the right side there is another three icons. All of these buttons on the right side are used to change how the program scans your computer. Clicking one of them will bring up a new screen in the middle that shows what the virus scanner will be scanning on your computer. By clicking these buttons it will turn each section for scanning on or off. For example, hitting the top button will either turn on or off the scanning of your local drives. Also, the button on the far left (play button) is used to start the virus scan while the stop button is used to stop the virus scan.
As for updates, this program is top quality. The program automatically updates it's virus database two to three times a day. It also automatically informs you that there is an update for the program. Both of these updates will be shown by having a small window pop up on the bottom right hand side of your desktop.
So if you're looking for a great FREE antivirus software then Avast Antivirus is highly recommended because of its protection, ease of use, and size.

FREE photo editing software
Ever wanted to edit a photo but couldn't because all of the photo editing softwares out there are WAY too expensive? Well here's a solution to your problem and the name of this solution is GIMP. GIMP is an amazing photo editing software that is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. It has TONS of things to do with endless options on what to do to a photo to make it look "cooler". And best of all, IT'S FREE!!!!
GIMP stands for GNU Image Manipulation Program. It was origionally made for Linux users but eventually made it's way over to Windows and Mac versions because of it's success compared to other photo editing programs.
As you can expect, GIMP is mainly used to edit photos. This program makes editing very fun, easy and well...FUN. Of course there are minor things to learn before becoming an expert but once you learn those first few beginner tips then you are off to start your amazing photo editing projects.
Other than photo editing, GIMP can also make animations and little videos. Although making those are a little bit tougher to do, it is still really fun and cool once you get the hang of it.
GIMP is considered to be one of the greatest photo editing programs out there and the price couldn't be better...FREE! All you have to do is go to GIMP's website and download it. It's easily accessible and updates come out pretty often with fun new things to do and explore in the program.
Another nice thing about GIMP is that new things can be added to the program. Rather than waiting for an update to come out, you can go ahead yourself and download some plugins for the program right from their website! Also, you can add different brushes and different fonts to the program to make your picture stand out just that much more.
So when looking for a great photo editing software that is free look no where else except for GIMP. It edits photos making it fun and easy. It can create animations and little videos, and new things such as fonts and brushes can be added to the program to make it even MORE fun to edit your photos to impress your friends.

How this will work
Basically I am going to be writing reviews on different programs to help you guys decide on if you should download that specific program because it's interesting or that you shouldn't because it's bad quality.
Also I will put all of the videos I post on my youtube channel from now on into this blog.
my channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/techtonicc
Occasionally i will make a blog on how to do a particular thing in one of the programs that i have reviewed, but most of the time that will be covered by my videos on youtube.
And finally, I will post any new things i've either added or edited on my website just to keep you guys informed on what's happening.
